Customer relationship and document management as an integrated process

In all CRM kick-off projects, sooner or later comes the time for considerations about the system in which documents should be stored in future. Such documents are created during the (sales) process or are required for the complete implementation of a (service) process. They include offers and contracts, but also information that can be provided to customers or that enables Sales to act as an expert partner for them.

Until now, companies have had to choose a defined storage location for sales documents, which was usually situated outside the CRM system, as an integrated process involving both systems was impossible. Document management and CRM processes ran in parallel to one another, without being integrated.

Store documents in a single location

Camelot ITlab has now developed a solution to this problem for Microsoft SharePoint, one of the most widespread document management systems in the world. We are able to integrate SAP Cloud for Customer into existing document management processes in such a way that an integrated process can be created. This helps to solve problems such as duplicate storage, uncertainty as to where documents should be stored, as well as a lack of document version control in C4C.

CRM and SharePoint integration

Depending on your existing processes, we can help you design a process that we can then replicate using our integration construction kit. Depending on your version of SharePoint, we can display documents for editing in C4C and render SharePoint functions, such as the creation of documents, folders and pages, as well as existing authorization concepts usable.

Rapid implementation

Implementation of the solution can be achieved quickly without additional development work, as it utilizes many of the existing core functions of C4C and is realized entirely within the SharePoint standard.

If you and your company are faced with the challenge of establishing an end-to-end CRM process, we would be happy to discuss a solution with you that involves integrated document management.
